The Graphic Design Technician Position
Our Graphic Technicians serve a vital role in creating a superior experience for our clients. Their passion for all things visual, attention to detail and eye for color bring unique aspects to our team that set us apart from other companies. Many of our graphics professionals move up into various other roles of leadership in our organization as their careers progress.
Graphic Technicians are trained in the graphical workflow of our offset and digital printing projects. This includes designing new artwork, making additions/corrections to customer supplied files, imposing files multiple up, and preflighting artwork using all common publishing programs. Some of these programs include InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, Word, Publisher and many more.
During the training period, Graphics Technicians are also trained in all aspects of the operation from customer service to estimating and production. This may include, but not limited to the following:
-Delivering fast and superior customer service
-Preflighting / changing customer supplied artwork
-Proofreading
-Mastering basic printing and paper knowledge
-Working in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
Required Skills
-Experience in the printing industry is NOT required
-Associates Degree in graphic design or related areas
-Experience with Adobe Creative Suite: Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
-Clear attention to detail, focused, careful, and thorough
-Passion for the graphic arts and all things visual
-Ability to read, interpret and process written instructions
-Strong sense of urgency
