About the Role
We're hiring a Clinical Recruiter (Contractor) to own our end-to-end hiring process for licensed and pre-licensed therapists and mental health clinicians. This is a high-impact, generalist role: you'll source candidates, run screens, coordinate the pipeline, and hand off to our onboarding team. You'll work closely with our clinical and operations leadership and be a key culture carrier for how candidates first experience Allswell.
This role is ideal for someone who moves quickly, loves the full recruiting lifecycle, is genuinely excited about LGBTQ+ health equity, and treats AI and tech tools as a natural part of how they work.
Compensation: $50-75/hour, commensurate with experience
Hours: Up to 30 hours/week

What You'll Do
Own the full recruitment lifecycle for licensed and pre-licensed mental health clinicians (LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs, and licensed professional counselors) from sourcing through offer acceptance and onboarding handoff
Proactively source candidates via job boards, LinkedIn, social media, professional associations, referral networks, and LGBTQ+-specific clinical communities
Build and maintain active pipelines across disciplines and licensure levels
Conduct high-volume outreach via phone, email, and social channels to engage new candidates
Conduct first-round screens to assess qualifications, licensure status, and mission alignment
Manage all candidate activity and communications in Ashby ATS, keeping data clean and pipelines moving
Coordinate interviews with clinical and operations leadership, ensuring a warm and professional candidate experience that reflects Allswell's values
Use AI tools (e.g. sourcing assistants, outreach drafting, pipeline tracking) to work efficiently and at scale
Partner with our operations team to hand off hired candidates smoothly into onboarding
Surface insights and flag bottlenecks as a thought partner to the leadership team
What We're Looking For
3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with meaningful time hiring licensed or pre-licensed healthcare or mental health clinicians (social workers, counselors, or similar)
Genuine passion for LGBTQ+ health equity and the ability to speak authentically to candidates about Allswell's mission and patient population
Comfortable with the full recruiting toolkit: sourcing, cold outreach, screening, coordination, and onboarding handoffs
Experience with Ashby or a comparable ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, or similar); comfort using AI tools to improve your workflow
Strong outreach instincts and the ability to write messages that actually get responses
Highly organized with strong communication skills; you keep stakeholders informed without being asked
Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving startup environment where the playbook is still being written
Familiarity with LGBTQ+ clinical communities, affirming care frameworks, or behavioral health workforce dynamics is a strong plus
