About the student
- 8th grade student
- The student needs to work with a tutor for support with ELA and math.
- The family is asking for a tutor who has experience with the Orton-Gillingham approach.
- The student is an 8th grader attending Gulfview Middle School and he needs tutoring in ELA and math. He has dyslexia and would work well with the Orton-Gillingham approach. He has poor study skills, hates reading, writing papers, and he needs to get back on track with foundational math.
- The goal is for the student to be confident in his ability to read, write, and work on math independently.
- The family is asking for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week; during their available times. They are available Monday through Friday from 4pm-10pm and Saturday & Sunday from 7am-10pm.
- The family is asking for a tutor who can meet at their home in Naples not far from Seaside Pups pet store; near the corner of Wendy Lane and County Barn Road.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with middle school students.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching math and ELA.
- Ideal candidates will have experience with the Orton-Gillingham approach.
- Ideal candidates will have a teaching certification.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON-FRI: 4:00pm-10:00pm
SAT-SUN: 7:00am-10:00pm
Pay & Benefits
- $24.00-$27.00 per hour
