Job Overview
We are seeking several dedicated and vigilant armed Security Officers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to surveillance, loss prevention, and conflict management. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement when necessary and ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
This is for immediate hiring!!! We have varied shifts from day time to overnights, Monday to Friday, and weekends.
Duties
- Monitor premises through surveillance systems and CCTV to detect suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and damage.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required.
- Maintain detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during investigations.
- Manage conflicts effectively by employing conflict resolution techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE CURRENT LEVEL III COMMISSIONED SECURITY LICENSE IN HAND
- Armed guards - Needed for morning, evening and overnight shifts
- Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred.
- Trained and certified in CPR and First Aid, preferred.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems.
- Strong skills in conflict management and de-escalation techniques.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while making sound decisions.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Must be responsible and reliable.
- Must be physically fit and able to continually stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds at all times.
- Must work well, be polite, professional, and courteous with the customer and public.
- Must be able to read and adhere to written and oral instructions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to fulfill attendance requirements, meaning being prepared and on time each shift.
- A valid security certification or license may be required based on local regulations.
