Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CNC Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of CNC machinery and associated systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial maintenance, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting, with a focus on precision equipment used in advanced manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC machines and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, industrial controls, and electrical instrumentation.
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems by inspecting, repairing, and replacing components to ensure operational integrity.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, and blueprints such as AutoCAD drawings.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters; identify faults within high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on automation projects involving vision inspection systems, distributed control systems (DCS), Calypso software, and industrial automation solutions.
- Support field service activities for onsite repairs or installations at various manufacturing locations.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and industry standards during all maintenance activities.
- Document maintenance procedures, system modifications, and troubleshooting steps accurately for future reference.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and mechanical components relevant to CNC machinery.
- Proven experience with industrial electrician tasks including electrical diagnostics, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation.
- Strong background in E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) engineering troubleshooting within manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, industrial controls, calibration techniques, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, schematics, blueprints (including AutoCAD drawings), and electrical instrumentation diagrams.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters for accurate diagnostics.
- Experience with industrial automation platforms like Calypso or similar software; knowledge of high voltage systems is advantageous.
- Skilled in equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance strategies, and repair of manufacturing machinery.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to electrical work in industrial settings; committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform engineering troubleshooting efficiently.
- Excellent customer service orientation when interacting with internal teams or external service providers.
- Experience working with vision inspection systems or other advanced manufacturing technologies is preferred.
