Central Surfaces is currently looking for a highly energetic and self-motivated individual to work in a fast-growing countertop fabrication facility as a CAD Technician.
Applicant must be reliable, motivated and have an eye for detail. One to two years of AutoCAD experience is required, but other experience will also be considered. Must have reliable transportation and good work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Convert residential and commercial digital template information into shop drawings via AutoCAD.
- Strong communication skills with office, shop and field personnel.
- Evaluate, track, and maintain projects within Moraware (client management software, similar to ProCore, Builder Trend or Salesforce).
- Manage many projects simultaneously.
- Draft accurate, orderly, readable drawings to be sent for review by clients.
- Mechanical ability and understanding of engineering principles.
- Create detailed shop drawings per the contract documents and provided Architectural Drawings.
- Review job specifications, drawings and provide stone shop drawings accordingly.
- Provide cut tickets according to the existing conditions or templates and put them in production.
Qualifications:
- AutoCAD
- Detail oriented
- Problem-solving abilities
- Written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic, team player, ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to read plans and process takeoffs
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, SolidWorksCam, and Alpha Cam a plus but not necessary
