Forest Kindergarten co-teaching position
As part of the forest kindergarten team, you will spend a couple days each week in the forest. You also play an integral role in our summer program- you will join other forest staff in teaching throughout the summer. You can expect to have a 5 week break during the summer months.

Experience
- Teaching: 3-5 years experience

Pay $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience

Forest Co-teachers
- Create a culture of inclusivity, democracy and empathy by utilizing practices from Responsive Classroom and Universal Design for Learning
- Work in partnership with their fellow co-teacher
- Utilizing place-based practices, co-teachers plan and facilitate learning opportunities designing indoor and outdoor spaces and curriculum that challenges each student
- Utilize and adapt Investigations Math and Amplify Reading curricula
- Develop integrated project work in Science and Social Studies
- Practice many means of assessment including observation, project work, conversation, skills assessment
- Support and maintain a warm, predictable environment so that students explore and grow their autonomy and self-regulation
- Partner with colleagues and families maintained through proactive and invitational messages in person, over app, and email
- Further institutional commitments are expected. For example, helping at an open house or parent evening, etc
- Play an integral role in the SSJC summer program- join forest staff in teaching throughout the summer. Approximately 5 week break during the summer months
