Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent at the TownePlace Suite by Marriott Stafford Sugar Land to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous hotel front desk experience, be familiar with the Marriott FOSSE Property Management System, and provide exceptional guest service while maintaining Marriott brand standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming attitude during check-in and check-out.
- Operate the Marriott FOSSE Property Management System efficiently.
- Process reservations, room assignments, payments, and billing accurately.
- Handle Marriott direct bookings as well as OTA (Online Travel Agency) reservations.
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries in a courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation information.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Balance cash drawer and complete end-of-shift reports.
- Follow Marriott brand standards, policies, and safety procedures.
- Upsell room upgrades and promote hotel amenities whenever possible.
- Assist with guest loyalty program enrollments and recognize Marriott Bonvoy Elite members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
Qualifications
- Previous hotel front desk experience is required.
- Experience using the Marriott FOSSE Property Management System is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience working at a Marriott-branded hotel is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marriott Bonvoy program knowledge.
- Experience handling OTA reservations (Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com, etc.).
- Cash handling and credit card processing experience.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
