Join our team as a Paraeducator at Edison Academy, Bettendorf Community School District's alternative high school. In this role, you will support students in a flexible, relationship-focused learning environment by working alongside teachers and staff to help students achieve academic, behavioral, and personal success. We are seeking compassionate, dependable individuals who are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of students.
Hours: Up to 5.75 hours/day
Hourly Rate: $19.42
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience working with students in a school setting preferred.

Experience supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Responsibilities

Assist teachers in providing instructional support to individual students and small groups.

Build positive relationships with students while encouraging academic engagement, responsibility, and personal growth.

Support the implementation of classroom expectations and behavior support strategies.

Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in a professional manner.

Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff, families, and the public.

Demonstrate flexibility, patience, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Participate in required training and professional development opportunities.

Must have valid U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or an active work visa.
