Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks to transport freight across various routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
- Manage route driving with precision to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Secure freight properly during transit to prevent shifting or damage during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times, route changes, or issues encountered on the road.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation safety standards and regulations governing freight delivery.
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with route driving preferred.
- Physical ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle cargo loading tasks.
