About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to lead all aspects of human resources for our growing team. The Payroll Specialist at Approved Mortgage is the go-to person for all employee-related issues. You’ll oversee everything from onboarding to benefits administration, and employee engagement. In short, you’ll be the heartbeat of our people operations. The one to ensure we have a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our established mission and objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all HR functions including onboarding, and benefits
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on HR matters
- Employee relations
- Administer payroll and benefits with accuracy and discretion
- Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations
- Drive culture initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communication strategies
- Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with company growth goals
- Miscellaneous company administrative duties
- Provide support for accounting department as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in HR position
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Proven ability to build trust, foster collaboration, and influence positive outcomes
- Hands-on approach—comfortable switching between strategic planning and administrative execution
- Experience in financial services, mortgage, or real estate industry is a plus

Pay: $53,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
