American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position in Goldsboro, NC, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

16-bed adult ICU within a hospital setting
-
Manages critical illness including ventilator patients and post-operative cases
-
Patient ratio of 1:2
-
Average length of stay is 3–7 days
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
-
36 hours per week, 3 days per week
-
6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
-
Holiday coverage may be required based on unit need
-
Can be placed on standby call once per pay period

Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state license

Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred

Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
-
NIHSS certification required
-
CPI-B certification required
-
Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation using the nursing process

Performs bedside point-of-care testing as part of the patient care plan

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and support discharge planning for complex patients

Participates in unit performance improvement activities and professional development opportunities

Clinical ladder and professional development opportunities available
