Facilities Maintenance Operator
An organization seeks a motivated and dedicated Facilities Maintenance Operator. This role will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety and overall upkeep of our facilities as well as coordinating maintenance, repairs and inspections.
Daily Operations
· Ensure facilities and equipment are clean, well maintained and efficiently operating at all times.
· Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices and common areas.
· Maintain property grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, breezeways, etc.
· Handle custodial responsibilities with attention to detail ensuring highest standards are maintained.
· Assist with event set up and break down as needed.
· Accepting, uncrating and inspection of deliveries may be required.
· Daily tasks outside of building maintenance and cleaning may be required.
Maintenance and Operations
· Schedule and supervise preventative maintenance for buildings equipment and life safety systems.
· Observe, schedule and oversee intermittent repairs and renovations to the properties.
· Coordinate with vendors to maintain efficient operation of all building systems.
Inspections and Permitting
· Schedule and supervise annual inspections of life safety systems including fire prevention, elevator equipment and generators.
Reporting
· Maintain maintenance records and job tasking through completion of all projects, repairs, maintenance and inspection.
· Ensure all projects are accurately and fairly bid, billed and approved so final payment to vendors is made timely upon completion.
Qualifications
· Prior janitorial, groundskeeping and maintenance experience in commercial or public settings is highly preferred.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
· Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
· Self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
· Must pass extensive background and credit check.
Work Environment
· Primarily one location but will require travel to other local properties.
· May require on-call availability for emergencies.
· Salary Dependent on Experience
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
