Position Overview
New York Medical and Diagnostic Center is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Physical Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving patients’ mobility, function, and quality of life through evidence-based therapeutic interventions and personalized treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and other rehabilitation techniques
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and recovery strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Ensure compliance with clinic policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current New York State Physical Therapist license in good standing
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, multidisciplinary environment
- Prior outpatient, orthopedic, pain management, rehabilitation, or multispecialty clinic experience preferred
Candidate Requirements
- Active and unrestricted New York State PT license
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care
- Ability to manage a diverse patient population with professionalism and empathy
- Experience with EMR documentation preferred
- Extremely efficient with time management
- Bilingual skills are a plus
