Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in our Tacoma facility. We work with hazardous materials in an industrial environment. JCI has a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance Program that was developed 'in house' to comply with 29 CRF 1910.119 (OSHA's Process Safety Management program.) Our industrial mechanics are expected to learn all of the plant processes and perform preventative maintenance as well as repair work on plant systems. Training will be taught 'in house' by an existing industrial mechanic in a combination of classroom and OJT under supervision. Experience with both plumbing and electrical maintenance a beneficial asset to understanding the position.
Electrical – Must have some basic electrical ability with 3-phase electric experience.
Pipe Fitting – Install and maintain threaded steel piping and plastic piping systems.
Welding – Must be able to do some industrial repair welding.
Mechanical – Capability of rebuilding and installing industrial pumps and heat exchangers.
Trouble Shooting – Must have working knowledge to trouble shoot and repair basic machinery to include compressors and cooling towers.
Computer Skills – Must have basic computer skills and be proficient in Word & Excel.
Instrumentation - Must be able to trouble shoot, install, and calibrate various instrumentation equipment with technical manuals.
Safe Work Practices – Must be familiar with Lockout / Tagout, Hot Work, Line Breaking Procedures.
Organization Skills – Ideal candidate must be organized and willing to work in an industrial plant setting. Self-starter in a small maintenance organization.

Experience:
- Programmable logic controllers: 2 years (Preferred)
