Position Description
The College of Charleston Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications
for a visiting assistant professor for the 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a mathematical science completed from an accredited program or the equivalent by August 15, 2026. Duties include teaching undergraduate mathematics and statistics at the lower and possibly upper division, advising students, serving on department committees, and participating in the annual math meet. There will be opportunities for collaborative research.

Please provide a cover letter, brief teaching philosophy, and CV with relevant
education and work experience teaching, especially at the introductory level
such as statistics, college algebra, contemporary math, precalculus, and calculus.
