Position Summary
McCall Facilities Maintenance LLC is seeking dependable and experienced Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technicians to service retail stores throughout the DMV area (Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia).
This position consists of servicing two retail locations per day, with approximately 1.5 hours spent at each location for a total of 3 hours of paid work per day. Work must be completed between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, before the stores open.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced handyman, maintenance technician, or facility maintenance professional looking for consistent part-time work with daily pay.
Compensation
- $200.00 per day
- Approximately 3 hours of work
- Paid daily after all work has been completed and paperwork has been submitted.
- Independent Contractor (1099) position.
Job Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections using a company-provided checklist, including but not limited to:
- Complete facility inspection paperwork accurately.
- Inspect emergency eyewash stations.
- Inspect fire extinguishers.
- Check sprinkler control valves.
- Inspect water filtration systems.
- Perform customer first impression walkthroughs.
- Identify and document maintenance or safety concerns.
- Take photos and submit inspection reports.
- Obtain store manager signatures upon completion.
Monthly Tasks
- Replace HVAC air filters using an A-frame ladder (approximately once per month).
Occasional Tasks
When requested, technicians may assist with minor handyman work such as:
- Tightening hardware
- Replacing light bulbs
- Minor repairs
- Hanging signs
- Basic maintenance items
Requirements
- Previous handyman, maintenance, facilities maintenance, or construction experience required.
- Must be dependable and punctual.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to commit to working between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
- Comfortable using an A-frame ladder.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel between two store locations.
- Smartphone capable of taking photos and submitting inspection reports.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Professional appearance and communication.
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking throughout the inspection.
- Bending, kneeling, and light lifting.
- Ability to safely carry and use an A-frame ladder.
- Ability to replace HVAC air filters monthly.
- Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
