About the Position
Ben’s trucking LLC is seeking an experienced and dependable CDL Class A Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our growing scrap metal recycling operation. The ideal candidate will have experience operating roll-off trucks and transporting scrap metal containers safely between customer locations, demolition sites, industrial facilities, and our recycling yard.
This position is ideal for someone who is safety-conscious, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced recycling environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A roll-off truck to transport scrap metal containers.
- Deliver and pick up roll-off boxes at commercial, industrial, construction, and customer locations.
- Secure loads and ensure all materials are transported safely and legally.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate DOT logs and required paperwork.
- Work closely with dispatch and yard personnel to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Keep trucks and equipment clean and report any maintenance concerns immediately.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Previous roll-off truck experience is required.
- Experience in the scrap metal, waste, recycling, or construction industry is preferred.
- Ability to safely back into tight areas and navigate industrial job sites.
- Strong communication skills and dependable attendance.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings.
Compensation
- $28.00–$32.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Full-time position with consistent work.
- Overtime opportunities may be available.
