Contract Administrator – Demolition
Job Summary
Tactical Demolition is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to support our demolition and construction operations. This position is responsible for managing project contracts, subcontract agreements, compliance documentation, change orders, insurance requirements, lien waivers, and project closeout documentation.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a demolition, construction, environmental, or heavy civil contractor and possess a strong understanding of contract administration, project documentation, and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate, and administer client contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and service agreements
- Track contract requirements, deadlines, deliverables, and compliance obligations
- Prepare and manage subcontract agreements and vendor contracts
- Process and track change orders, contract modifications, and amendments
- Review project terms and conditions and identify contractual risks
- Coordinate insurance certificates, bonds, and licensing requirements
- Track and manage lien waivers, releases, and project closeout documentation
- Maintain organized project files and contract records
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, accounting, and operations teams
- Assist with bid submissions and contract-related documentation
- Monitor project compliance with contractual obligations and company policies
- Support collections efforts by assisting with documentation requests and contract compliance issues
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and legal representatives regarding contract matters
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of contract administration experience in the construction, demolition, environmental, or heavy civil industry
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and project documentation
- Experience with lien waivers, insurance requirements, bonds, and compliance documentation
- Knowledge of construction billing processes and change order management
- Excellent organizational and document management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Experience with project management software such as Buildertrend, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar platforms is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working specifically for a demolition contractor
- Knowledge of AIA contracts and construction contract language
- Experience with public works projects and government contracts
