Responsibilities
- Deliver professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, and styling for diverse client needs.
- Perform advanced treatments such as hair coloring, highlights, balayage, and hair extensions with precision and creativity.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations regularly to ensure a safe environment.
- Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client preferences, offering product recommendations, and upselling retail items.
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, managing wait times, and handling client communication effectively.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair care techniques, color theory, and current trends to foster a collaborative atmosphere.
Skills
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, and hair care treatments.
- Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and client management.
- Proficiency in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and hair threading.
- Familiarity with retail sales strategies and upselling to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging clients confidently and understanding their desired outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices aligned with industry standards to ensure a safe salon environment.
- Ability to perform specialized services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and retail math calculations.
