Overview

In this position, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, to deliver freight promptly and securely. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, adhering to all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) routes
- Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport
- Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with safety standards
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or safety concerns
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads as applicable
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various conditions
- Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for different cargo types such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for manual transmission trucks
- Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently for route planning and adjustments during trips
- Experience with manual handling of logistics cargo and securing loads on tractor-trailers or flatbeds
- Strong understanding of truck driving safety standards and a clean driving record

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,750.00 per week
Work Location: On the road
