Job Summary
Duggan Digs Disability PLLC is seeking a qualified Vocational Expert (VE) to provide vocational assessment and testimony services for disability, employment, and rehabilitation-related matters. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing vocational factors, labor market information, transferable skills, and occupational requirements and be comfortable providing expert testimony in administrative and legal proceedings.
This is a flexible, remote independent contractor opportunity for professionals seeking part-time supplemental work. Experts are paid a set amount per hearing.
Responsibilities
- Review claimant and client records, including medical, educational, and employment documentation.
- Analyze vocational factors such as age, education, work history, transferable skills, and residual functional capacity.
- Identify occupations using vocational resources including the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), Selected Characteristics of Occupations (SCO), Occupational Requirements Survey (ORS), and other labor market resources.
- Prepare written vocational reports and opinions.
- Provide expert testimony for administrative hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as assigned.
- Conduct transferable skills analyses and labor market evaluations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Communicate professionally with attorneys, agencies, and company representatives.
- Stay current on vocational rehabilitation practices, labor market trends, and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Experience in vocational rehabilitation, disability services, workforce development, case management, or vocational consulting.
- Strong knowledge of the Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT), transferable skills analysis, and labor market research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
