Duties
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions across various subjects, including reading, math, writing, and study skills
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs
- Utilize learning technology tools to enhance engagement and facilitate effective learning experiences
- Assess student progress regularly, adjusting instruction strategies to ensure continuous improvement
- Manage classroom behavior to create a positive, focused learning environment that encourages participation
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement
- Support students with special education needs by adapting instructional methods and materials accordingly
Experience
- Prior classroom experience or tutoring experience working with children or students of diverse backgrounds is highly preferred
- Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques to tailor instruction effectively
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and educational software tools used in tutoring environments
- Experience working with children in early childhood or preschool settings is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate learners of all ages
- Background in special education or experience supporting students with unique learning needs is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics and foster an encouraging atmosphere for learners
