Diesel Mechanic
Job Overview
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for servicing Heavy Equipment to maximize equipment availability using efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.

Properly complete services and/or repairs on equipment and plant.

Produces daily equipment inspections and documents findings.

Checks behind operators to ensure the equipment is properly greased.

Works with management on planning and scheduling services.

Diagnose and troubleshoot units to resolve malfunctions.

Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.

Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on units, and adjust as needed.

Test-operate equipment to ensure they run smoothly.

Complete all work according to applicable safety requirements.

Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.

Any other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Ability to operate Heavy Equipment
- Experience with resolving electrical issues preferred

Experience with plant maintenance preferred
-
Heavy Equipment maintenance required
-
Welding/Fabrication preferred
-
CDL preferred
-
Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
