Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Telligen, or CareBridge to document patient information meticulously and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct specialized procedures such as catheterization (urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, and sterile dressing changes using aseptic techniques.
- Manage acute pain and chronic conditions by implementing appropriate interventions within an outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to maintain proper care of patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health coaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and disease management strategies.
- Communicate with case managers regarding the CCW clients.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
- Proven experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I/II trauma centers is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation standards.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Telligen, proficiency in electronic health records management is essential.
- Skilled in performing complex procedures such as ventilator management, neonatal resuscitation procedures, dialysis support, or trauma medicine.
- Background in diverse clinical areas including emergency medicine, hospital medicine, geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, or home care is advantageous.
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or trauma centers.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile processing techniques to maintain safety standards across all patient care activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating compassion for individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Preferred candidate would be familiar with the CCW waiver and Medicaid.
