We invest in our staff because we know that great teachers and support professionals are the foundation of student success.Position SummarySELA International School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Specialist to support young learners (ages 3 months to 6 years) with behavioral, social, communication, and adaptive needs within our school setting. This position serves both our Hingham and Norwell campuses.The Behavior Specialist will work closely with classroom teachers, school administrators, families, and related service providers across both locations to design and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and promote student success inside the classroom and throughout the full school day.This role is ideal for a professional who: Is passionate about early childhood and child developmentHas experience working with children who may be on the autism spectrum or have other developmental needsIs knowledgeable in creating collaborative support plans with teachers for children with behavioral or developmental differencesIs comfortable, confident, and empathetic when communicating with familiesThrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary school environmentIs comfortable working independently and meeting with the head of schools & families.Essential ResponsibilitiesBehavioral Support & InterventionDevelop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and evidence-based behavioral strategies in collaboration with teachers and supervisorsCollect and analyze data.
