Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly to provide outstanding customer service and answer their beverage or food inquiries
- Operate Square POS systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give accurate change while managing cash handling responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light food items in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or food service experience is highly preferred; familiarity with beverage service is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, lift moderate weights, and perform cleaning duties regularly
- Understanding of food safety protocols, proper food handling techniques, and general cleanliness standards in a café environment
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Experience with beverage preparation, coffee experience, or café experience is desirable but not mandatory
