SELECTION PROCEDURE:
This is a
PROMOTIONAL ONLY recruitment to establish an eligibility list, fill a vacancy and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list. Promotional examinations shall be restricted to probationary and permanent employees of the District who meet the qualifications of the class.
The current vacancy is 35 hours per week, 10 months per year, Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 2:00 PM.
The recruitment process will consist of an evaluation of the submitted supplemental form and an oral technical interview, which are tentatively scheduled during the weeks of July 27-August 7, 2026. Qualified applicants will be notified by US mail or email.

Distinguishing Characteristics:
The Nutrition Services Supervisor I classification is the entry-level classification in this series and performs various routine food service activities at an assigned school site. Incumbents assist in the training and supervision of assigned personnel. The Nutrition Services Supervisor II directs the operations of a high school cafeteria and snack areas. The Nutrition Services Supervisor III directs the operations of a central kitchen facility which prepares and transports food to District middle and elementary schools and contact sites and provides one-on-one training for Nutrition Services staff at satellite sites. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION The possession of a Food Protection Manager Certification (California Health & Safety Code § 113716) issued by an approved organization within five months of employment.
