Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role involves performing various cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality service. Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal
- Conduct detailed cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, floor polishers, and vacuums
- Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, waxing, and other floor care procedures
- Assist with custodial tasks related to industrial or commercial cleaning projects
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet health and safety standards
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or industrial settings
- Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and waxing is advantageous
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and reliability in completing assigned tasks efficiently
