Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Perform vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform general auto repairs efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair automotive HVAC systems.
- Perform brake system diagnostics and repair including ABS systems.
- Diagnose and replace clutches, U-joints and CV axles wheel bearings.
- Cooling system diagnostics and repair including water pump replacement.
- Timing belts and associated tensioners, cam and crank seals, etc.
- Diagnose and repair accessories, such as power windows, power seats , etc.
- Note, we seldom, if ever perform internal engine or transmission work, nor do we replace engines or transmissions.
Skills
- Proven service shop experience with a strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Critical thinking skills and logic based decision making skills.
- Hands-on experience with certain ADAS calibration and vehicle alignment procedures.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices across various systems including powertrain, suspension, transmission, electrical systems, and vehicle systems.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.

Compensation
- Compensation is determined by skill level, with the potential for annual earnings exceeding $125,000 if advancement to master technician is achieved. Pay is structured as hourly plus commission, or as a full flat rate if preferred.
- Generous end-of-year bonuses are awarded based on total shop performance and are paid out during the first week of December.
- A monthly bonus plan is available after 90 days, based on the shop's overall production and individual performance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to repeatedly stand, walk, push, and reach throughout the workday.
- Must have a full range of motion for reaching, bending, and stooping.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to handle and cope with stress.
