We are not looking for someone to simply manage rooms.
We are looking for a leader who will take full ownership of the Housekeeping operation and drive cleanliness standards that guests immediately recognize.
This is a hands-on leadership role within a Marriott-branded property where execution, accountability, and attention to detail matter every single day.
Position Summary
The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for leading all aspects of the Housekeeping operation including guest room cleanliness, public space presentation, laundry operations, staffing, scheduling, and overall department performance.
This role drives daily execution in alignment with brand standards, company expectations, and operational goals. The Director of Housekeeping works closely with the General Manager and leadership team to ensure a consistently high-quality guest experience.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is REQUIRED for this role.
What You Will Own
- Full oversight of housekeeping operations (guest rooms, public areas, P*_lusses*_( No Laundry done on property and NO Pool!)
- Daily room inspection program with zero-compromise standards
- Staffing, scheduling, and labor management aligned with occupancy and business levels
- Training, coaching, and accountability of all housekeeping team members
- Inventory control, supplies, and expense management
- Coordination with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure operational flow
- Guest satisfaction scores and cleanliness performance

Core Responsibilities
- Direct all housekeeping operations including rooms, public space, and laundry
- Ensure strict adherence to brand cleanliness standards and inspection processes
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team
- Schedule labor effectively based on occupancy, groups, and business demands
- Monitor and improve guest satisfaction scores and online reputation
- Maintain inventory controls and manage departmental expenses
- Oversee deep cleaning programs and preventative maintenance coordination
- Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular team meetings and communicate expectations clearly
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of hotel housekeeping leadership experience required
- Prior experience as Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Director preferred
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (required)
- Strong operational background with a hands-on leadership style
- Proven ability to manage labor, productivity, and quality simultaneously
- High attention to detail and accountability-driven mindset
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is an active, on-your-feet leadership role requiring frequent movement throughout the hotel, including bending, lifting, and inspecting rooms and public areas. The position requires working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals, varying temperatures, and physical demands consistent with hotel operations.
Additional Information
This is a full-time management position requiring flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.

Pay: $70,713.16 - $72,581.61 per year
