Overview
Society Table is a brand-new 40-seat Southern comfort food restaurant built on a simple idea: "Where everyone has a seat." We're looking for a hardworking, reliable Kitchen Porter to be the backbone of our kitchen, keeping everything clean, stocked, and running smoothly so our cooks can do their best work. This is a great entry point for someone eager to learn the ropes of a professional kitchen and grow with a brand-new team. Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment, keeping a steady supply of clean items available throughout service
- Operate and maintain the dish machine, and wash larger items by hand as needed
- Keep the kitchen, prep areas, storage spaces, and dish pit clean, organized, and sanitary at all times
- Take out trash and recycling, and break down boxes and packaging
- Sweep and mop floors throughout and at the end of each shift
- Assist cooks with basic prep tasks (peeling, washing, portioning) when needed
- Receive deliveries and help stock and rotate inventory following FIFO (first in, first out) practices
- Properly store and label food and supplies
- Carry out opening, closing, and deep-cleaning duties as assigned
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards

Requirements
- No prior experience required; previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
- Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Valid food handler's card (or willingness to obtain one before start date)
- Able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around heat, water, and cleaning chemicals
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and physical work
- Willingness to learn and pitch in wherever needed
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- A positive attitude and team-first mindset
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
