We're looking for an experienced Events Manager for the iconic Surf Lodge hotel, restaurant and bar in Montauk.
You'll be with our current Event Manager and helping share the workload across the large number of events onsite.
** Must have housing / live within commutable distance.
The Surf Lodge hosts summer concert series featuring a rolling roster of up-and-coming artists and Grammy Award-winning musicians like John Legend and Willie Nelson. The casual bohemian atmosphere of the hotel offers simple yet luxurious getaways for guests. The signature restaurant works with local fishermen and farmers to source the freshest and most seasonal ingredients, offering a truly unique dining experience with pop-ups from world-renowned chefs like Gabriela Cámara and Paul Liebrandt.

Responsibilities:
- Listening attentively to customer requests and keeping records of these requests.
- Doing walk-throughs, replying to emails in a timely manner
- Liaising with ownership, directors and managers on event details
- Schedule and inform event staff regarding each event and coordinate hours with other managers.
- Quoting and providing picking for events
- Creating detailed BEO's for each event
- Having good knowledge of geographic locations and their main attractions
- Organizing audiovisual equipment in advance
- Offer information about hotel, transport and the local area
- Attending and monitoring activities to ensure client satisfaction
- Reviewing bills and approving payments
Looking for:
- 1-5 years experience in a similar position
- Ability to think on your feet and under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and attention to detail
- Professional, energetic demeanor
- Ability to organize time effectively, forward plan, prioritize tasks to ensure workload is balanced and urgent situations are dealt with immediately.
