Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Physics Tutor to inspire students and foster a love for science and mathematics. Post doctoral expreoience is preferred. In this role, you will deliver engaging, personalized instruction across various physics topics, including mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and modern physics. Your expertise will help students of diverse backgrounds grasp complex concepts, improve their problem-solving skills, and achieve academic success. Duties
- Deliver clear, engaging online or in-person physics lessons tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate curriculum standards, learning technology, and innovative teaching methods
- Assist students with understanding core physics principles such as trigonometry, calculus, geometry, and algebra as they relate to science problems
- Provide targeted test preparation tutoring for exams like SAT Physics Subject Test or AP Physics assessments
- Utilize various educational tools and software to enhance learning experiences and track student progress
- Support students in mastering related science subjects including chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, physiology, and anatomy knowledge
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively while working with students of different ages, including teenagers and adult learners
Experience
- Proven teaching experience in physics or related STEM fields with a strong background in science tutoring and classroom management
- Demonstrated ability to work with students of varying skill levels, including children, teenagers, and adult learners
- Experience developing curriculum content using learning technology platforms and digital resources
- Familiarity with test preparation strategies for standardized exams involving physics or math concepts
- Knowledge of specialized subjects such as organic chemistry, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, data structures, or machine learning is a plus
- Prior experience working with children or in early childhood education settings is advantageous
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in lesson planning software and online instruction tools
