Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Sterile Technician II to join our sterile processing team. This vital role ensures the proper sterilization, handling, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sterile techniques, anatomy, and physiology, contributing to safe surgical environments and optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments following strict aseptic techniques and hospital protocols.
- Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies and surgical instruments to ensure availability while minimizing waste.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure all instruments are properly prepared for upcoming procedures.
- Adhere to infection control standards and safety regulations at all times to prevent contamination.
- Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in training new staff members on sterilization procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing procedures and aseptic techniques.
