A nationally recognized event production company is hiring experienced Class A CDL drivers for a hybrid role combining local NYC deliveries and regional trailer runs. This is a physically active, client-facing position ideal for drivers who prefer hands-on work and bringing large scale events to life.

Role Overview
This position is primarily focused on NYC-area deliveries using 26-foot box trucks, with periodic long-distance trailer runs based on project volume. Drivers should expect a majority (60-70+%) of local work, with flexibility to haul long-distance when needed (30%).
Drivers are expected to be playing an active role in assisting teammates in loading, delivery execution, and client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate 26-foot box trucks for local NYC deliveries and logistics support
- Complete regional CDL-A trailer runs as needed (multi-day assignments during peak periods)
- Load, unload, and handle furniture and event-related freight
- Work closely with delivery teams/helpers to execute jobs efficiently
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients during deliveries
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure safe transport of goods
Work Mix & Schedule
- 60–70% local NYC routes (box truck)
- 30–40% regional/out-of-state CDL-A runs (varies by season and workload)
- Monday–Friday (core schedule)
- Weekend work available/required during peak periods
- Typical start times vary between early to late morning start, until completion (flexibility required based on job needs)
Compensation & Travel

Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- 1–2+ years of CDL‑A driving experience (candidates with at least 1 year of experience WILL be considered if they have additional experience operating 26‑ft box trucks)
- Comfortable with freight-touch work and heavy lifting
- Ability to operate in NYC and navigate tight urban environments
- Professional communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Air brake experience required
Ideal Background
- Experience in furniture delivery, moving, event logistics, or white-glove service
- Combination of box truck + trailer experience
- Comfortable with physical work and dynamic schedules
- Not limited to no-touch freight roles
Training & Onboarding
- 3-week structured onboarding on box trucks
- CDL-A trailer road test required
- 300-hour training program (company standard for all drivers)
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
Candidates who do not pass the trailer portion but demonstrate strong performance may be considered for a non-CDL delivery role starting at $26/hour.
Pay: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour
