Position Summary
ORLI is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Technician to join our clinical team. The HBOT Technician is responsible for safely operating hyperbaric oxygen chambers, preparing patients for treatment, monitoring patients throughout therapy, documenting treatments, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient comfort.

Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy treatments.
- Review patient screening questionnaires and safety checklists before each session.
- Educate patients regarding the treatment process and answer questions.
- Safely operate hard-shell hyperbaric chambers according to ORLI protocols.
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond appropriately to any concerns.
- Communicate with supervising physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff regarding patient status.
- Document treatments accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Perform daily chamber inspections and complete operational safety checks.
- Maintain treatment logs and equipment maintenance records.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, manufacturer, and ORLI safety protocols.
- Maintain treatment rooms in a clean, organized, and professional manner.
- Assist with patient scheduling and efficient treatment flow.
- Support other recovery services when patient volume allows.
- Participate in ongoing education and safety drills.
Patient Experience Responsibilities

Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Certified Hyperbaric Technician (CHT) credential or willingness to obtain certification.
- Experience working in hyperbaric medicine preferred.
- EMT, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, Medical Assistant, LPN, RN, Athletic Trainer, Exercise Physiologist, or other healthcare experience preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with technology and electronic medical records.
- Ability to remain calm during emergency situations.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to assist patients entering and exiting the chamber.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to respond quickly during emergency situations.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional evenings as patient demand requires
- No major holidays
- No overnight shifts
