Job Title: PM Line Cook
$24-$26 an hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced PM line cook to join our fine dining kitchen team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and works well under pressure. This cook has a diverse skill set in savory cooking and can accommodate an array of seasonally focused menus. This person has the willingness to learn and demonstrates a sense of urgency. The PM line cook will work closely with the senior chefs to ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and the ability to research and develop new ideas for a seasonally focused menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure that all meals are of high quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Prepare and cook PM staff meal for up to 50 employees.
- Support the PM line as needed.
- Follow recipes and food safety guidelines to ensure consistency and safety.
- Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Be able to help with banquet production.
- Control product cost through rotation, cross-utilization, proper; storage, handling, and labeling.
- Time management and recognition of strict deadlines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 50 pounds.
Licenses required:
- Valid WA State Food Handlers Permit
