Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and versatile Maintenance Person/Laborer to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across different projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently. Prior experience with electrical tools and basic troubleshooting is preferred, especially familiarity with using an Ohmmeter. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to diverse projects while developing valuable skills in maintenance and repair.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks around residential or commercial properties
- Perform general carpentry and handyman repairs (drywall, painting, framing, finishing, minor plumbing/electrical, etc.)
- Execute service calls efficiently and professionally
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and supervisors
- Follow company procedures and complete required documentation
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks
Requirements
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and have valid paperwork
- 5+ years of experience in construction, maintenance, or related trades
- Valid New York State driver’s license (clean record required)
- Strong carpentry skills and general repair knowledge
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete work with minimal supervision
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- English required; Spanish a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, or other skilled trades
- Familiarity with residential and commercial property maintenance
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
