Hall Swim Academy is dedicated to providing personalized and engaging swim instruction in the greater area. Since 2014, our team of passionate and experienced swim instructors has been committed to helping clients of all ages develop confidence and skills in the water through private lessons, both at HSA residential pools and at clients’ homes.
Overview
We are seeking energetic and motivated Swim Instructors to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will deliver high-quality swim lessons tailored to each student’s needs, fostering a safe, fun, and encouraging environment. You will work closely with children and adults alike, utilizing your sports coaching expertise, communication skills, and passion for teaching to inspire swimmers of all levels. This paid part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on our clients’ aquatic skills while advancing your coaching career.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging swim lessons for children and adults, customizing techniques to meet individual goals
- Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed, including AED operation and first aid procedures
- Use effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment
- Communicate clearly with clients about progress, goals, and safety instructions
- Assist with water safety education and basic lifesaving skills during lessons
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative teaching methods and improve lesson quality
- Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, attendance, and client feedback
Requirements
- Transportation to travel to pool locations
- Lifeguard experience or certification preferred; must be willing to obtain or renew certifications if necessary (HSA covers the cost)
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques confidently
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable
- Previous sports coaching experience or team leadership roles beneficial
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and instruction
- Certification in first aid and CPR required
- Experience teaching physical education or working with students in a structured environment is advantageous
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and foster a supportive learning atmosphere
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for teaching swimming and promoting water safety
- 4 hours in-person training (unpaid)
