Job Summary

Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit card, and digital payments while maintaining a balanced cash drawer
- Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos when needed
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and meet store goals
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are well-organized, labeled correctly, and replenished regularly
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Conduct retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts with accuracy
- Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring store cleanliness to create an inviting shopping environment
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash register operations
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding new team members or managing shifts
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills combined with friendly phone etiquette are essential for success in this role
- Familiarity with retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies will help maximize sales opportunities
- Experience with grocery store operations or retail math enhances your ability to perform cashiering duties efficiently
