Job Title: Receptionist/Cashier
Reports To: Office Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt/Full-Time with Benefits
Pay: $15.00/hour; after 60 days the rate goes to $15.50/hour; after 120 days, the rate goes to $16.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday - 9:00am to 6:00pm
(with a 1-hour lunch)
Rotating Saturdays 7:00am to 12:00pm or 12:00 to 5:00pm
Additional: Previous receptionist experience not required, but a plus.
SUMMARY
Receives all incoming calls at the dealership, determines the nature of the caller’s business, and directs them to their destination. Takes messages and provides basic information to all callers. Provides a great first impression to all customers who enter the dealership. Is a strong, positive first impression of the dealership by presenting a professional appearance and a cordial, businesslike presence. Has a thorough understanding of the dealership and knows to whom to direct customers. Keeps track of traffic flow within the dealership and where and to whom customers are referred. Must be dependable, reliable and able to commit to the work hours of the position. The work environment for this employee is an indoor, fast-paced (multi-tasking), office-type environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Greets all customers entering the facility with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location

Stays aware of and helps coordinate all aspects of dealership operation such as: hours of operation, services offered, promotions and special events

Understanding and processing specific repair/parts orders for other departments

Answers incoming phone calls on a multiline telephone system. Directs customers to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message

Receives customer payments in person or over the phone

Maintains a professional appearance and work area

Balances cash, checks, credit card payments and debit card payments daily

Employee must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time

- Employee must be able to use his/her arms, hands and fingers to work at a computer

Employee must be able to physically answer multiple telephone calls, understand what is being communicated by the caller, and be capable of transferring calls using the current telephone system
