Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our project management team in coordinating construction and millwork projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of construction processes, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing documentation and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in the coordination of construction and millwork projects.
- Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Help develop and maintain project timelines, schedules, and budgets.
- Review and interpret architectural and shop drawings.
- Conduct and participate in conference calls and meetings, take accurate notes, and distribute meeting minutes.
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain organized logs, meeting records, and project documentation.
- Conduct site visits to verify progress and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in construction or millwork project coordination preferred.
- Strong understanding of project management fundamentals (submittals, RFIs, schedules).
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and millwork drawings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including clear meeting documentation.
- Ability to lead and document conference meetings professionally.
- Highly organized, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Proficient with Google Workspace and project management tools (Airtable, Procore, or similar).
- Fluent in both English and Spanish – bilingual communication is essential for coordination with field and shop teams.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Work hours begin at 7:00 AM.
- Must provide professional references.
