Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a safe and nurturing environment. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those requiring assistance, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Candidates must be available 1-2 days a week in Marshall, from 8am-2pm as well as 2 days a week in Battle Creek for multiple shorter shifts throughout the day, starting at 8am until 9pm. We are growing and adding opportunities, making full time a possibility in the future.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, including memory care and long-term care strategies.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Monitor client health and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed routines.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Travel to doctor appointments or outside activities
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing homes, hospice care, or direct support is required.
- Minimum of one year experience assisting fall risk clients.
- Previous experience with end of life care.
- Knowledge of CPR techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Experience in providing patient care for individuals with varying levels of independence.
- Experience assisting with rehabilitation after surgery.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the client.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
