Plan, organize, and conduct regular practices for swimming and diving athletes, focusing on technique, conditioning, and performance improvement.

Teach proper stroke mechanics, starts, turns, diving fundamentals, and competition strategies.

Establish expectations that promote discipline, sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.

Supervise all activities in and around the pool and diving areas, ensuring compliance with safety protocols at all times.

Prepare athletes for competitions, including meet entries, line-ups, warm-ups, and event strategies.

Communicate effectively with athletes about goals, progress, and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with the Athletic Director to ensure facility readiness, lane access, equipment availability, and scheduling needs.

Maintain inventory of team equipment and request replacement or repairs when needed.

Coordinate travel, logistics, and supervision for away meets or competitions.

Ensure all participants meet academic, attendance, and eligibility requirements.

Promote a positive and inclusive team culture consistent with Academy values.

Monitor athlete well-being and report safety concerns, injuries, or behavioral issues promptly.

Participate in athletic department meetings, training, and professional development as required.

Support Academy-wide events and expectations as part of the athletic staff.
The Swimming and Diving Coach is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the Academy’s competitive swimming and diving program. This role includes coaching cadet-athletes in skill development, conditioning, strategy, sportsmanship, and personal growth. The Coach ensures a safe, structured, and positive training environment that reflects the mission and standards of the Academy. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to mentoring cadets both in and out of the pool.
