Indoor Soccer Coach Position (Bilingual Preferred)
KIDSUNITED is a soccer center for early childhood development. Our unique training method is intended to develop physical, personal, intellectual abilities and social skills of children ages 1.5 to 9 years old. KIDSUNITED not only teaches children how to play soccer; it also acts as an early childhood development system, using soccer as the main educational and delivery tool. As a KidsUnited coach, you will have an opportunity to make a positive impact on children during the most important stage of their development years. Not only will you help children develop, but through our ongoing training, you can reach your full coaching potential.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coach engaging soccer classes for children ages 1.5-9 years old
- Follow the pre-planned curriculum for each class
- Set up the indoor field for each class with goals, cones, ladders, etc.
- Support children’s growth by developing their body mastery, soccer coordination and life skills through our curriculum
- Build positive relationships with both parents and children, creating a welcoming and encouraging environment
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress through regular in-person feedback
- Keep accurate records of progress reviews
- Ensure that health and safety precautions are observed during all activities
- Attend ongoing trainings and team meetings to continue professional development and uphold program standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bilingual preferred - Spanish
- Soccer experience - Required: High School level or equivalent
- Soccer experience - Desired: College level
- Coaching experience - Required: None / May substitute other experience working with youth
- Coaching experience - Desired: 1+ years coaching a sport
- Must be comfortable working with children ages 1.5-9. Experience strongly preferred
- Solid verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to work and function in a KidsUnited team environment
- Flexible to work day, evening, and weekend hours as needed
- Excellent time management and organization skills
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 40.0 per week
