Position starts with the fall 2026 semester. Salary for this position is based on full-time faculty salary schedule.

General Description
The purpose of this position is to instruct classes and labs as assigned by the Dean and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College.
Qualifications: Education
This position requires an associate’s degree in welding or other related technology program area with three to five years of work experience in the field. A combination of licensure and/or certification in conjunction with work experience may be considered in the absence of a college degree.
Qualification:Experience
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years of successful work experience as a welding professional using multiple types of material, positions and equipment. Demonstrated proof of holding welding certifications in one or more areas of welding is preferred. Evidence of the ability to train others to weld proficiently is required.
Qualification:Skills
Welding proficiency in shielded metal arc, gas metal and flux cored arc and gas tungsten arc is required. Additional required skills include expertise in pipe welding, print reading and an understanding of manufacturing and fabrications processes.
Special Instructions to Applicants
Applicants selected for an interview will be expected to provide a 10–15-minute teaching demonstration for the search committee on a topic of choice relevant to a welding process (examples might be how to set up the welder, metal preparation, how to lay a proper bead, how to identify and correct a welding defect, other).
