We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Tow Truck Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive flatbed towing experience, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a high-demand environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a flatbed tow truck to recover and transport vehicles safely and efficiently
- Respond promptly to dispatch calls using Towbook software
- Perform basic roadside services such as jump-starts and tire changes
- Secure vehicles and equipment properly during loading and transport
- Maintain accurate service records and complete all required documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and law enforcement
- Perform routine truck inspections and maintain cleanliness and operability of the vehicle
Qualifications:
- Valid TDLR Tow Truck Operator License (required)
- Minimum 2 years experience in flatbed towing
- Proficient in TOWBOOK Software OR willing to learn
- A working smartphone and the ability to use it confidently for work-related tasks (including communication, navigation, and job tracking)
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanics and equipment handling
- Clean driving record and no criminal background
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong work ethic with flexibility to work additional shifts or be on-call as needed
- Professional demeanor with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
