Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Candidate Generation
- Proactively reach out to prospective physicians and advanced practice clinicians to introduce them to the benefits of a locum tenens career.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified healthcare candidates using job boards, professional networks, referrals, AI Recruiting Strategies and ATS platforms.
- Conduct screening interviews to assess clinical experience, licensure, board certifications, and cultural fit for specific facility requirements.
Client & Vendor Management
- Partner with facility directors, hospital chiefs, and account managers to understand regional staffing needs, market trends, and clinical requirements.
- Advocate for both the provider and the facility to ensure safe staffing parameters and satisfactory work environments.
- Negotiate pay rates, contract lengths, and confirmation letters on behalf of the clinician.
Licensing & Credentialing
- Guide candidates through the highly regulated, often cumbersome credentialing and licensing process.
- Partner internally with cross-functional teams (travel, credentialing, and risk management) to guarantee start date compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ to 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting or sales experience; prior healthcare staffing or agency experience is a major asset.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client-centered, relationship-building mentality.
- Organization: Strong problem-solving abilities and a sense of urgency to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Vendor Management Systems (VMS), and MS Office suite.
