Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive support across multiple areas of the firm, including client onboarding, bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparation, marketing, and administrative assistance. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management & Organization
- Assist with client onboarding, including setup of new client files and accounts
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all client records
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and documentation
Bookkeeping & Accounting Support
- Perform daily bookkeeping functions, including data entry and account management
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Process accounts receivable and monitor outstanding balances
- Prepare and file sales tax, use tax, and other state or federal reports
- Support preparation of financial statements as needed
Payroll Administration
- Manage client payroll processing, including employee setup and new hire packets
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll reports (Forms 941, 940, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with state and federal payroll tax requirements
Tax Preparation Support
- Assist with income tax preparation and data verification
- Perform income tax setup and review for accuracy
- Support preparation of state and federal tax filings
Marketing & Business Development
- Contribute to firm marketing efforts, including social media management and content creation
- Assist with website updates and development projects
- Help implement client outreach and engagement initiatives
Administrative & Assistant Duties
- Manage scheduling, calendar coordination, and client communications
- Conduct business and industry research as needed
- Provide general administrative support and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative support preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel), including those for construction companies
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with discretion
Work Environment & Schedule:

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
